Your Opportunity:

We're seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead The Island to new heights. You'll be the driving force behind our success, responsible for the day-to-day operations and strategic growth of this thriving pub. What You'll Do:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a clear business strategy to maximise turnover, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
  • Team Development: Inspire, mentor, and motivate your team to deliver exceptional service and achieve their full potential.
  • Operational Excellence: Ensure smooth and efficient daily operations, including financial management (P&L, stock control), maintenance, and compliance (licensing, health & safety).
  • Guest Experience: Cultivate a welcoming and memorable atmosphere, exceeding guest expectations and building lasting relationships.
  • Sales & Marketing: Drive sales through creative events, targeted marketing initiatives, and a deep understanding of our customer base.
  • Financial Management: Analyse financial data, report to senior management, and optimise performance across all areas.
  • Quality Control: Maintain the highest standards for food and beverage quality, ensuring consistent excellence.
  • Event Management: Oversee bookings, events, and customer relations with meticulous attention to detail.
  • HR & Compliance: Manage HR processes, disciplinary actions, and ensure full compliance with all regulations.
