Key Responsibilities Lead the development of code to extract raw data, mentor the team on improving data quality, and ensure the correct data is ingested across the pipeline. Provide expertise on transforming raw data into formats compatible with downstream data sources, and guide the team on writing and validating code to test the capacity and availability of data stages. Direct the implementation of performance monitoring protocols across data pipelines, training the team on building dashboards and collections to monitor pipeline health. Mentor others on implementing solutions and self-healing processes that minimize vulnerabilities across different products. Identify data governance needs, oversee the design of data models, and devise strategies to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and policies. Prepare colleagues for meetings with appropriate partners across teams and address concerns around data requirements by providing guidance on feature assessment. Help assess data costs, access, usage, use cases, dependencies across products, and availability for business or customer scenarios related to one or more products. Essential Qualifications To be considered for this role, you must have A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Programming, Computer Design, or a related field, coupled with 4+ years of experience in business analysis, data science, software development, data modeling, or data engineering. Alternatively, a Master's degree in a similar field with 3+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent experience. 3+ years of experience in designing, building, and maintaining scalable and robust cloud-based big data solutions. 1+ year of experience in data governance, data stewardship, or a comparable role. Preferred Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you should possess Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to guide a team towards achieving common goals. Proficiency in programming languages relevant to data engineering, such as Python, Scala, or Java. Experience with cloud-based technologies, particularly Azure, and big data solutions. Knowledge of data governance, data modeling, and data quality management. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data issues and devise effective solutions. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
