Assist principal, counselor, students, and parents.</p><p>DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:</p><ul><li>Answer phone calls and relay messages</li><li>Post absence calls</li><li>Maintain harmonious office atmosphere</li><li>Type and mail correspondence (Deficiency letters, SI letters to parents, Attendance letters)</li><li>Organize and distribute materials for advisement</li><li>Maintain confidentiality</li><li>Check students in and out of school</li><li>Call parents regarding absences</li><li>Do the DO NOT ADMIT daily</li><li>Do absentee assignment homework sheets</li><li>Do SI paperwork and distribute</li><li>Order office supplies</li><li>Assist Counselor and Principal</li><li>Post the attendance cards</li><li>Train, supervise and grade office aides</li><li>Regular attendance</li><li>Other duties as assigned</li></ul><p>EXPERIENCE:</p><ul><li>One to three years secretarial experience</li></ul><p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p><p>Education/Certification:</p><ul><li>High School Diploma or GED</li></ul><p>Special Knowledge/Skills:</p><ul><li>Proficient typing, word processing, and file maintenance skills</li><li>Effective organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills</li><li>Basic math skills</li><li>Ability to use personal computer and software to develop spreadsheets, databases, and do word processing</li></ul><p>CONTACT INFORMATION:</p><p>SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Student aide(s)</p><p>Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environment Factors: Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written); interpret policy, procedures, and data; maintain emotional control under stress.
