<strong>Senior Microsoft Power BI Developer<br><br>Citizenship: US<br><br></strong>We are seeking a Senior Microsoft Power BI Developer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals supporting a Federal Government customer in Rosslyn, VA. The candidate must be able to obtain a Position of Public Trust Clearance - US Citizenship is required and must not have traveled outside the US for a combined total of 6 months or more in last 5 years. Must have resided in the US for the last 5 years<br><br>This position will allow for remote work throughout the US, however it is preferred that the selected individual lives within driving distance of Arlington VA so that they are able to come into the office if needed.<br><br><strong>Position Description<br><br></strong><ul><li> Primary focus on business intelligence and reporting technologies/methodologies</li><li> Identify data to clean, transform, and load into data models</li><li> Create data models, establish relationship cardinality and cross-filter direction, and build complex measures</li><li> Visualize data models by creating reports and dashboards</li><li> Assist in the delivery of quality solutions using Microsoft Business Intelligence tools (Power BI) and related technologies</li><li> Partner with OIG customers and OCIO technical team members to assist with requirements definitions, solution designs, technical architecture, and delivery</li><li> Work collaboratively with team members including project managers, solution architects, and business analysts<br><br></li></ul><strong>Position Requirements<br><br></strong><ul><li> Implement solutions using Microsoft Power BI tool suite and related technologies</li><li> Proficient in developing complex of Data Analytics Expressions (DAX) and M (Power) Queries</li><li> Experience with developing interactive dashboards -e.g., parameters, actions, navigation -for ease-of-use.</li><li> Proficient in creating dataflows or datamarts</li><li> Experience with designing composite models</li><li> Experience with report builder and developing paginated reports</li><li> Experience with applying roles and Row Level Security (RLS) to Reports, Apps and workspaces</li><li> Experience integrating customized automated solutions using PowerApps, Power Automate, SharePoint and Dataverse with Power BI</li><li> Understand the administrative functions for Power BI, Managing data gateway, usage report etc.</li><li> Leverage database systems including data warehouses, data marts, and models needed for business, financial, and operational analysis and/or reporting</li><li> Develop high performing, reliable, and scalable solutions</li><li> Optimize performance on new and existing data models Clearly communicate technical details to business and management staff</li><li> Perform data analysis which supports and enhances OIG information management systems and services</li><li> Experience with one or more data technologies (e.g., Oracle, SQL Data Warehouse, SQL Server, etc.) and a willingness to learn how to leverage these technologies to improve business intelligence</li><li> Author and oversee design documents for approved projects</li><li> Develop, publish and, schedule reports, dashboards & scorecards, data exploration, and visual analytics using existing and emerging technologies and tools</li><li> Provide meaningful feedback and coaching of other team members in the use of Microsoft Power BI and related technologies</li><li> Provide insight and recommendations on new and emerging technologies and concepts to OCIO team members</li><li> Eager to contribute to a team-oriented environment</li><li> Able to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment</li><li> Excellent communication and interpersonal skills<br><br></li></ul><strong>Primary Requirements<br><br></strong><ul><li> MUST have a Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business or related field OR possess a PL-300: Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Certification or equivalent</li><li> 8+ years of progressive experience in business intelligence and/or information management</li><li> 4+ years of experience with data visualization and implementing high-value solutions; experience performing administrative activities across multi-environment infrastructures</li><li> 5+ years of experience working in a client-facing technical role</li><li> Expert knowledge of data management, business intelligence and analytics concepts including:</li><li> Extract, transform, load (ETL)</li><li> Data warehousing, data marts, data stores, and cubes</li><li> Data quality and profiling</li><li> Data governance, data management, and metadata management</li><li> Data visualization, dashboard design / implementation, reporting, self-service BI, data KPIs, and scorecards</li><li> Predictive, prescriptive, and descriptive analytics</li><li> Proficiency in one or more languages like:</li><li> SQL</li><li> SAS</li><li> R</li><li> Python</li><li> Desired Experience - Experience with Government software development policies and procedures</li><li> Must be able to obtain a Position of Public Trust Clearance - US Citizenship required and must not have traveled outside the US for a combined total of 6 months or more in last 5 years.</li><li> Must have resided in the US for the last 5 years</li></ul>
