Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Data & Analytics reporting teams, coordinating activities, and assigning tasks to team members, ensuring adherence to project schedules and milestones.
  • Communicate project progress, updates, and status reports to business stakeholders and senior management, ensuring transparency and effective decision-making.
  • Ensure adherence to Agile project management methodologies, best practices, and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Liaise with the portfolio team to review product demand and collaborate with the Data & Analytics leadership team to groom the backlog.
  • Partner with the business to define the vision and business system strategy, build and execute product roadmaps, and measure business value delivered.
  • Assume responsibility for the strategy, roadmap, and feature definition for products or product lines, including discrete applications, platforms, processes, or services provided by IT to internal and external partners.
  • Identify product definition compared to the industry landscape and perform "build versus buy" analysis.
  • Marshal resources to define product architecture/solution design, considering process, commercial off-the-shelf (COTS), and custom solutions.
  • Develop release plans, including versions with specific features/functionality based on value to the business and time-to-market.
  • Understand and assess pricing and licensing models for infrastructure and software as a solution (SaaS) consumption.
  • Assess organizational capacity to absorb change management activities, including training and communications.
  • Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and monitor product efficacy to the business.
  • Forecast product obsolescence and migration strategies for data transition functionality upon retiring products.
  • Perform cross-organization collaboration with project managers, iteration managers, and other key stakeholders to ensure product delivery, adoption, and efficacy.
  • Assess cost versus benefit and return on investment (ROI) analyses.
  • Assess changes in business needs and adapt product direction and/or identify risks and associated mitigation strategies.

Essential Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A minimum of 5 years of product management experience, preferably in the IT industry.
  • At least 2 years of experience leading teams and managing projects.
  • Experience with Agile software development methodologies.
  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

Preferred Qualifications

While not mandatory, the following qualifications are highly desirable:

  • Movement across different departments within IT, gaining a broader perspective of the business/industry.
  • Relevant certifications or licenses that demonstrate expertise in product management or a related field.
