Job Type: Part-Time (20 hours per week)

Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM Washington Time PST / PDT

Salary: $750 per month

Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper & Administrative Assistant to support a growing mobile home park ownership and management company. This role will primarily focus on bookkeeping, financial organization, reconciliations, and administrative support across a portfolio of 400+ mobile home lots in Western Washington.The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, resourceful, and comfortable handling both accounting and back-office administrative responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Bookkeeping & Accounting
  • Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities within Rent Manager
  • Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Process invoices, payments, and reconciliations
  • Maintain accurate financial records and reporting
  • Assist with payroll coordination and data entry
  • Organize and track receipts, invoices, and financial documentation
  • Support monthly and ongoing financial clean-up and organization
  • Create and maintain tracking sheets and reports for property taxes, utilities, insurance, and rent control-related calculations
  • Ensure accuracy in tenant charge tracking and property-related billing adjustments
  • Administrative Support
  • Assist with back-office administrative operations
  • Follow up on insurance documentation and compliance-related items
  • Help maintain organized property and tenant records
  • Track deadlines, notices, and important operational dates
  • Support ownership with general administrative tasks and special projects
  • Communicate with vendors and tenants
  • Assist with process improvement and operational organization
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Previous bookkeeping or accounting experience required
  • Experience with property management accounting preferred
  • Experience using Rent Manager is a plus (not required)
  • Experience with AppFolio or similar accounting/property management software is acceptable
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Ability to create and maintain trackers, spreadsheets, and reports
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through
  • Comfortable learning property management and rent control processes
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Self-starter with problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
