Job Type: Part-Time (20 hours per week)

Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM Eastern Time

Salary: $700



Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Property Management Bookkeeper to support our property management operations. This role is responsible for performing accurate bank reconciliations, generating monthly financial reports, processing bills, and assisting with tenant ledger inquiries. The ideal candidate has experience working in a property management or real estate environment, is comfortable using accounting/property management systems, and can confidently communicate financial information to tenants in a clear and professional manner. Spanish-speaking is preferred but not required.



Key Responsibilities:

Bank Reconciliations & Financial Management

Perform auto-bank reconciliations using QFX files within RIS Ensure all transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled Identify and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner

Reporting

Generate and distribute all required monthly financial reports using RIS Upload and organize financial reports in Dropbox Maintain organized financial documentation and reporting records Assist with month-end closing procedures

Accounts Payable

Process and record monthly bills Ensure timely payments and proper documentation Maintain accurate vendor records

Tenant Support & Ledger Assistance

Assist with tenant calls regarding account balances Clearly explain tenant ledgers, charges, and arrears Provide professional and courteous support when addressing billing concerns



Required Qualifications:

2+ years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in property management or real estate Experience performing bank reconciliations Familiarity with property management or accounting software (experience with RIS preferred) Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting Experience processing accounts payable and monthly bills Ability to explain financial statements or tenant ledgers clearly and professionally Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent written and verbal English communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets Experience using Dropbox for file management and report uploads Ability to work independently and meet deadlines Spanish-speaking ability is preferred but not required
