Join Our Team as a Snowflake Admin and Thrive in a Dynamic Remote Environment

We're seeking a highly skilled and motivated Snowflake Administrator to join our team on a remote, long-term contract basis. As a Snowflake Admin, you will play a critical role in ensuring the optimal performance, security, and scalability of our Snowflake Data Cloud infrastructure. Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and manage Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for response and resolution times for various ticket types, including user and database provisioning, service account access, and more.
  • Develop and implement clear guidelines for reviewing and approving database designs, as well as providing recommendations to DevOps teams for new projects.
  • Publish shift schedules for 24/7 support models and ensure seamless communication among team members.
  • Define and implement cost optimization strategies on Snowflake, including compute and storage management.
  • Apply Snowflake's recommended best practices for managing load operations, performance, and data governance, including column-level data security and dynamic data masking.
  • Design and develop secure access to Snowflake objects using Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and implement strategies for performance tuning.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science (preferred).
  • Strong understanding of Azure concepts and experience with Azure platforms.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Linux and Windows OS administration activities.
  • Microsoft Azure certification (mandatory).
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
