    Position Summary The Manager of Global Ocean Freight & Logistics will lead Rangen Group's Global Ocean Freight and Transportation (aka Logistics) processes for all the business units through effective facilitation of the purchasing teams; planning teams; customer service collaboration; and all Rangen Group supply chain functions to continually achieve synchronization across the organization. This includes strategic and tactical decision-making related to balancing demand and supply; aligning sea and land shipments and capability; and integrating global financial and operating plans with strategic objectives to deliver improved operating and financial results. This position will also support and design process improvement for warehousing and materials flow within the factories and warehouses.

    A Sample of What You'll Do in this Role:

    • Seek out global leveraged volume quotes and negotiate competitive rates for all inbound and outbound shipments
    • Analyze bids and actuals and conduct audits for contracts/bids to actual for all inbound and outbound shipments
    • Partner cross functionally to develop and deploy long-term plans
    • Direct and ensure that appropriate planning processes and systems are in place and are compliant with corporate policies
    • Partner with internal business and commercial partners, to establish collaborative supply chain relationships to drive sustainable growth through best-in-class service of our freight and logistics both externally and internally for flow of materials. This may require spoke & hub analysis; network consolidations and storage optimizations; 3PL/4PL outsourcing and other modes of handling freight and inventory to reduce cost and improve quality of support.
    • Responsible for ocean freight profitability including continuous improvement processes to increase efficiencies; reduce waste; and improve performance
    • Prepare and conduct presentations including freight demand analysis and supply scenarios to facilitate discussions and drive Sales and Operations proactive decisions around inventory pipelines and movement
    • Develop and manage the end-to-end process
    • Assist in the evaluation and execution of standardization strategy across the organization
    • Manage and maintain relationships with vendors
    • Handle day-to-day operational issues and support ongoing projects
    • Ensure full compliance with international trade regulations and customs requirements for cross-border shipments, minimizing delays, penalties, and supply chain disruptions.
    Requirements What you Bring to the Role:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Logistics or equivalent experience
    • 7+ years in ocean freight management, procurement, logistics or similar role
    • Extensive expertise and knowledge of the logistics/supply chain industry specifically to ocean freight
    • Excellent analytical skills along with strong planning and organizational skills are required to identify opportunities to gain and utilize expense efficiencies
    • Excellent negotiating skills needed for ongoing vendor contract reviews
    • Continuous improvement and process oriented
    • Ability to interpret and enforce policy consistently across the organization
    • Strong interpersonal and team-building skills with the ability to establish
